The late bloomer

This gerber daisy has been on my front porch since, oh, the beginning of May. It hasn't bloomed all summer, but apparently it picked the month of October to finally appear. We read a book in first grade called Leo the Late Bloomer, and I'm thinking about calling this flower "Leo."

Here are some of the flowers in the backyard. I just had to take a few more flower pictures before it freezes and I don't see them again until Spring...
