We’ve had a beautiful March here in St. Louis. It started off with a celebration of Samuel’s 4th Birthday. 4th. Wow. He’s growing up so quickly! We absolutely adore this sweet, funny, smart and protective 4-year-old. We headed over to Sarah and Dave’s to have some cake and ice cream with them on the 3rd.

I love this picture of Dave and Samuel. So sweet!
Haidyn and I left for Oklahoma the next week. My sister and I put together a team for the Tulsa Get Your Rear in Gear 5K on March 10th. We raised money for the Colon Cancer Coalition and named our team “Team Suz” in honor of our mom. We were blown away by how many of our friends showed up to support the cause and to be there for us. We are so blessed to have such an amazing group of people around us.

Haidyn and I had fun visiting with friends and family while we were in Oklahoma. We went to Grandpa’s house one afternoon for lunch. Haidyn was about 5 seconds away from falling asleep when we pulled into his driveway. She sat up and yelled, “Bam-pa!” really loud before repeating it over and over until I could get to the backseat to get her out. It melted my heart!

Getting a hand
We visited Savta at the University of Tulsa and Aunt SES at her office.
We stayed with my sister for a few days. It’s always so much fun to be there!
Haidyn “helped” me feed the dogs. This is her telling Bentley how to eat.
No, Bella! You can NOT have my cracker!
Haidyn LOVES to play the piano at SES’s house. She doesn’t even stop for her snack. Grandma Suz would be so proud!
I wasn’t very sentimental about a lot of my mom’s things, except when it came to getting rid of her costume jewelry. For some reason I just couldn’t let it go. So Sarah suggested we keep it at her house for Haidyn to play with. That is the best idea. This was Haidyn playing with Grandma’s jewelry for the first time. She didn’t want to go to bed that night because she was having way too much fun!
So pretty!
Another highlight of our trip was getting to see some of my best friends and their adorable kids. We headed over to Megan’s house on Friday for some play time.
Karsten, Haidyn and Jaxson playing ball
Jaxson was really good at hitting! Guess that’s what happens when your dad is a baseball player :)
Haidyn and Karsten running around
Back at my dad’s house that afternoon, Haidyn thought it was super fun to play in the dog crate.
On Saturday afternoon we went over to Nancy’s newly renovated house for an open house. It was absolutely beautiful! We attempted a few pictures of all the kids.
Pierson, Harrison, Karsten, Jaxson and Haidyn
Harrison cracks me up in this picture! He’s like, “Whoa, there, little lady. You quiet down!”
Haidyn was mesmerized by Jaxson’s clapping skills
Jaxson went in for a kiss. It’s a good thing Mr. Teal wasn’t nearby, Jax!
Here are a few more pictures from March. We had such a blast enjoying the beautiful weather! Here’s hoping April is just as nice.
Haidyn discovered the kid’s shopping carts at Trader Joe’s.
Aunt SES sent Haidyn this box FULL of new shoes for Spring. We’ve had so much fun with them! Some days Haidyn refuses to wear anything but the ruby red slippers. (See below.)
St. Patrick’s Day. Nothing says, “Irish” like ruby red slippers and a finger up the nose!
We spent many a day going on walks and playing at the park
Playing with Ava at Queeny Park
I showed Haidyn how to blow on a dandelion. It ended up in her mouth. Oh well!
I absolutely love this picture. One evening we had dinner at the Glassers, and Jonathan got some good snuggle time in with his nephews.
