Memorial Day Weekend

Our Memorial Day Weekend was filled with lots of visitors, lots of barbecues, a birthday celebration and lots of good times.  Friday was my last day of school.  My sister came up Thursday evening to watch Haidyn for us, and my dad flew up later that evening.  Jonathan’s parents were also in town for the weekend, so they stopped by that afternoon to see Miss H.  We let Papa wake her up since he hadn’t seen her in awhile, and it was so cute to watch her reaction.  (By the way…I’m aware that her pants clash with her top.  In my defense, I thought pajama pants were much more comfy for nap-taking than jeans…just so you know.)

Friday night the girls (me, my sister, Savta and Sarah Glasser) went to see Jersey Boys at the Fox Theater.  The show was very entertaining, and we all had a great time.  I’m sad to say we took 0 pictures that night.

On Saturday we all headed over to Sarah and Dave’s for their housewarming party.  It was a fun time with lots of great food.

On Sunday Jonathan’s friend from Germany came to visit.  Buddy was a foreign exchange student who lived with the Teals in high school.  Jonathan also went to Germany to visit him, and they’ve kept in touch all these years.  Buddy and his boss were in Indianapolis for work, and we were so glad they would come visit.  We had a barbecue at our house so everyone could get together.

On Monday it was my birthday.  Jonathan baked me a delicious chocolate cake (my favorite!) and my sister decorated it.  I felt so spoiled!

We spent the day showing Buddy and Thomas around St. Louis.  We had a delicious lunch downtown before my dad and sister headed back to Oklahoma.  What a great weekend!
